About SLR Education
A neighbourhood school that grew into a campus of possibility
During the penultimate decade of British rule in India, missionary schools were the privilege of a few. Dadar — now the centre of the city — was home to Mumbai’s labour class, and education was largely out of reach, especially for women.
Fighting against those odds, Mrs. Snehalata Rane established Snehalata Rane Girls High School in 1939. The school received a government grant in 1956 and continues its journey of quality education in Dadar and Lower Parel.
